Unbrick Iphone Apple GRRR

October 18th, 2007

Ok, I just stayed up until 6 am in the morning last night because of Apple. First, let me tell you it was not fun and I wouldn’t want anyone else to go through with it. While reading on the internet I found that tons of people were saying there iphones were not working, dead, or bricked. Why is this? Because they were dumb like me and upgraded there hacked or unlocked iphone to the latest apple iphone firmware 1.1.1 from 1.0.2, So now if you either just bought a iphone with 1.1.1 or you have a brick 1.0.2 because you hacked or unlocked it then please follow this guide and get your phone back and working. Unlock all the guides I have seen they will get your phone back but not able to make calls because it will say invalid sim. Well who wants a iphone that can’t make calls? So I spent all night figuring it out since I leave for a trip tomorrow and did not want to be without my phone.

First, you will need the right files. I have uploaded kindly every file you will need for this process. A total of almost 250 mb and so you should be thankful. Please download it first here.

Next Downgrade your iphone from 1.1.1 to 1.0.2 or make sure you just fresh installed 1.0.2 (Steps are below)

1. Start itunes and plug in your iphone via usb
2. Next you need to go into restore mode on your iphone. In order to do this hold down the power button on the top of the phone and the home button on the main bottom area of the phone until it shuts off. Once you see a black screen release the power button at the top but continue to hold the home button down for around 10 seconds or until itunes recognizes your phone.
3. iphones will popup and say it see’s your iphone in restore mode and ask you what to do. Simple hit ok and then hold your shift key and click on restore button. Be sure to hold your shit key as if you just hit restore you will go to the restore update firmware 1.1.1 and not the 1.0.2 we have downloaded. A popup will come up and you need to navigate to where you extracted my zip file and click on iPhone1,1_1.0.2_1C28_Restore.ipsw
4. It will take like 5 minutes so be patient when it’s done it will give you an error this is normal and you should have a yellow triangle on your phone
5. Now leave itunes open but run the AppTappInstaller program in my download files and select firmware 1.0.2 and continue. This will most likely give you an error again but your iphone should now display the activation screen.
6. Ok, now close out of itunes and open task manager by pressing ctrl+alt+delete, find the process ituneshelpere.exe and terminate that sucker.
7 Run the AppTappInstaller program yet again and selete firmware iphone 1.0.2 and let that finish
8 Finally, find the folder from the download zip I gave you called Point and Click activation with Youtube and open it and run or start the click here to activate.bat file. Follow the steps on the screen it will ask you to power off your iphone and restart it then click any key.

Now, pat yourself on the back and grab a redbull cause you now have firmware 1.0.2 on your iphone

Next, we need to correct the baseband error which is why your iphone is working possibly but showing the incorrect sim error. We are going to downgrade from baseband 4.XX to 3.XX (Steps are below)

1. First make sure you iphone is still connected and itunes open during all these steps
2. Next, on your iphone go to settings –> general –> autolock –> click never
3. Open the downloads folder I gave you again and go to the ibrickr folder and run ibrickr.exe
4. After its running click on files then vanigate using the fake ibrickr iphone to the /usr/bin/ and upload all the files one by one from the SaviousPack folder you have
5. Now you can close ibrickr
6. On your iphone click the installer app from your homescreen and navigate to community sources and install
7. Next install the Mobile Terminal vt100 and then lastly install BSD Subsystem 1.5 in that order
8. When completed on your iphone homescreen click on Mobile Terminal
9. In Terminal do the following commands ignoring the “” and giving each command time to complete!
10. “cd /usr/bin”
11. “launchctl unload -w /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.CommCenter.plist”
12. “chmod +x bbupdater”
13. “bbupdater -v”
14. “chmod +x ieraser”
15. “ieraser”
16. “bbupdater -v”
17. “bbupdater -e ICE03.14.08_G.eep -f ICE03.14.08_G.fls”
18. “bbupdater -v”

W00t you know fixed your baseband on your iphone and its normal for your clicks to produce no sound we will fix that!

The last thing we shall do is unlock the iphone so we can make calls and actually use it.

1. Run WiNstaller by executing the file WiNstallerGUI.exe in the folder
2. In WiNstaller click on install application and then find your Unlock.app folder from the downloads I gave you
3. When its done you can close WiNstaller
4. On your iphone homescreen you now have a white unlock icon click it
5. Click start to begin and wait 20 minutes! DO NOT HIT START AGAIN
6. IT will say completed now click on your home button and shutdown your iphone
7. Pop in your sim card and reboot your iphone

Congratulations!! Your iphone is now working and you can make calls, use youtube, or check your email!! IF you are thankful for my work then link to this post or donate some mulah.

    Hi,

Your instructions appear to be the easiest to follow of all the ones I’ve seen. Unfortunately I can’t see any link to the 250MB of files you uploaded.

Can you tell me where they may be found? Or perhaps a list of the file names, so that I may locate them elsewhere?

    Thank you!
