OnTimeDigital Fraud Scam

January 7th, 2009

Yesterday I had a horrible experience trying to purchase a a new digital camera from OnTimeDigital.com that I think needs to be addressed. Some of you may have had a similar experience with this website. And, if so, I would like to hear from you.

A couple of days ago I thought it necessary to purchase a new digital camera before the Affiliate Summit West in Las Vegas, and I decided on the Nikon Coolpix S550, advertised on t.v. by Ashton Kutcher. I searched the Internet for the best deal, and found it at OnTimeDigital.com, where they advertise the Nikon Coolpix S550 for $119.00, with a Retail Price of $299.99. I placed an order for the camera and paid additional to upgrade the shipping.

When I did not receive the camera after a couple of days, I called the company to track my order. I was then placed on hold for a ridiculous amount of time before a rude sales associate came to the phone to assist me with my inquiry. I soon discovered that the camera had not even shipped! They informed me that they had planned to call me to ask me which battery I wanted to purchase for the camera, as it did not come with one.

My options for the battery were between a 2-hour battery for $45.00 or a 5-hour battery for $65.00. I questioned the associate several times why the camera did not come equipped with a battery, since every retail store that carries the camera includes a battery with purchase, and they could not give me a reason. And before I could even get another word out, they asked if I would just like to cancel me order! Completely unsolicited!! Apparently, they know they are scamming people.

Needless to say, I found an identical camera at Murphy’s Camera, a Louisville, Kentucky-based camera store, for only a few dollars more. And for that small additional amount paid, I received great customer service and a 2-year warranty backed by the store. I am sorry to say that sometimes, something are better purchased off line.

Affiliate Marketing = DEAD

December 4th, 2008

Long time again and no talk… Justin has been working, staying alive, and sometimes going out to see a movie or travel! I wanted to post a quick update for everyone as it has been a long time and I have noticed some of the same questions everyone has been asking on forums and im.

Yes, you can make money still in affiliate marketing and possibly more than you have ever made before. Do you need to continue doing the same things which have been failing for you? NO.. Should you adapt to the economy and ftc or whatever it is which is affected you? YES.. Should you quit and give up? Only if you are not making enough money to live or are struggling horribly and are not ready for the roller coaster earnings of “the life of an affiliate marketer” (book to be release mid 2020).

I actually think I summed up a few bullet points in that paragraph so you just need to read it several times, ha.

TIP: This goes with the paragraph above but you need to diversify. If not you will ALWAYS fail in the long run at your affiliate marketing challenge. Remember a new facebook, myspace, acai is coming out all the time you have to stay current in the industry, continue to make solid contacts, and not put all your time money and eggs into one thing. Have something making you consistent income in the background at all times!

I need to go do somethings and you all know the drill: Link to this post, comment on this post, subscribe to my secret newsletter (because someday I might actually send one out), and rss me!

Las Vegas Affiliate Summit West 09

November 18th, 2008

I can’t wait to go to Affiliate Summit in Las Vegas coming up in January. This time I am staying an extra week and going to have a real vacation of sort as well. If anyone has anything I “must” see while I am in the Vegas area feel free to comment as I am making lists of the things I have to do.

I booked an awesome suite at The Venetian and hope I learn as much as I usually do from the great people who attend the summit!

More coming soon been working extremely hard lately..

Myspace Advertising

September 25th, 2008

Nope, this isn’t a post saying how great myspace advertising is and how much better it is than when facebook started. It is to stay APPROVE my ads, gosh. Still waiting it has been way over 48 hours and I am getting impatient! If you aren’t keeping up with things myspace is open for business (advertising).

Dont Hold Back

September 20th, 2008

Everyone knows the US economy is going through some “struggles” and everywhere I go I see people worried and going crazy. Gas prices are mid $4 a gallon and the power has been out for a week now causing many people to waste a bunch of money on new groceries etc.

What is my point to all this rambling? This is the perfect time to buckle down and get something done. I mean seriously whether you have tried promoting a product online, brand new to internet marketing, or have already lost 4 grand with adwords. Give it another try! You didn’t waste money in the first place, think of it as collecting valuable data and stay in there. Remember, think of affiliate marketing just like any other business and you might have to indeed spend 5k before you start making some crazy profits. But it WILL happen if you hammer down and are dedicated to it.

NOTE: So lets all buckle down come Monday and be more secure than we are know to ensure you and your family won’t have to worry about money. If you need some help I am always on aim and willing to help answer questions. I have never given my aim addy out publicly and will probably take it off this post in a week or so, anyhow aim is: jchelf3 I always enjoy helping people get their feet wet and will answer as many questions as I can until I get bored and need to do something else :P

P.S. If your new or haven’t yet remember to always try ads4dough, copeac, neverblueads, and advaliant. (yes i know, w..ore)
