Since I started creating website online a decade ago, something I have always taken for granted is hosting. Like most I started out with Host Gator and after many down days and unanswered support requests along with losing money Buy Xenical Online right and left I soon realized it was not worth my troubles.

Needless to say I had to realize this over and over again until a good friend of mine (Jason) recommended Liquid Web to me. Although it is of course more expensive for a dedicated server or even a virtual dedicated server I freed up so so much time not having to deal with the littlest things and having them worry about when my blog or websites went down. Even today I used they support to help with a MySQL question I couldn’t find an answer to on google. Priceless support and for FREE with my hosting.

I host hundreds of website for myself and clients locally and must say give

SEO Question and Answer

SlightlyShadySeo started running a q and a thread on wickedfire for seo help. I would suggest even if you are not into SEO at all to head to the thread and read and take notes. Some of the stuff you might know, but it is always good to refresh your memory.

BTW, I got some emails asking me questions… If anyone else has a question on website development or affiliate marketing, or business in general use the contact tab and I will post it on the buy medicine blog.

Alright, whether you are making a landing page which loads super fast or a company profile / blog you need to remember to check your design in multiple browsers and operating systems! Let me repeat… I have seen so many websites where I was like wtf did this person not even look at their design before throwing it online?

Windows Live Writer

Ok, one of the reasons I wanted to get back into running this blog is microsoft’s windows live writer tool makes it so so easy for me to manage this blog plus all the other blogs I am working on. Which is currently about ten. Anyhow it has every feature you could imagine and even though I prefer to hand code things now I do not worry about it as much because the code is so much cleaner produced by this program than wordpress itself. Someone buying drugs online just now told me about it during a im conversation and I was shocked I had never heard about it.

And, the best part is? It’s free!! Ya, I know Microsoft doesn’t give anything away for free they are probably planting a bug in my computer but at least my blogs get updated!

Website Tonight Issues

First, in now way is this a promotion for godaddy’s website tonight service as you will see by the time you finish reading today’s post. This week has been crazy and I was doing some small changes on a clients website in which I did not setup in the beginning. Needless today godaddy hooked him in and instead of my normal changes on my computer and then uploading them via ftp I was forced to login via firefox and make changes to their website.
Why was this so bad? First, unless you have all day to make simple changes than it’s not for you!! Yes, yes, I can see how great website tonights purpose must be for someone who has never touched a computer and doesn’t know anything, but hey in that case give them a mac! (haha) Next, they limit you on so many features which most people need. Guess what? You cant put javascript on your pages, how to buy prescription drugs without a prescription nope godaddy doesn’t allow that. Nope, you can’t use any special scripts or html either. No, you cant upload something via ftp how dare you! No, you can’t access your email by imap are you nuts godaddy’s support says!
Finally, the last reason why never to use godaddy’s website tonight service and instead to hire me or someone else anyone for that matter is that your stuck with them forever. If you do get a website done or do your own and they come to realization that their service is horrible you really don’t own the website. You will not be able to transfer it to any other server nor download a backup copy of it. Now thats what I call a contract!

If you’ve picked up any business magazines within the last year, you’ve undoubtedly heard the rumors that everyone is getting rich online. Yet, somehow even after you worked so hard to scrape together a website and found some fabulous widget to sell your online venture has yielded little to no money, Why? eBizMBA surveyed over 250 webmasters with sites ranked in the Alexa top 10,000 to dispel many of the myths of making money online, below you’ll find the sobering results of that survey.


10. MYTH: Adsense click-through rates between 1 to 4% are well within the reach of most online publishers. REALITY: The average CTR for Adsense publishers with less than 250,000 unique monthly visitors is .20% and the average ad pays out only 50 cents per click.
9. MYTH: My domain name “Everythingyouwanttoknowaboutme.com” is long, but memorable so I can still make money with it. REALITY: Websites that earned over $60,000 in annual revenue on average had a domain name that was less than 10 characters long.
8. MYTH: I can maintain relative anonymity online and still thrive. REALITY: eCommerce websites that add 1-800 numbers to their site see conversion rates rise by nearly 120% across the board.
7. MYTH: Many websites prosper based on organic traffic growth. REALITY: 90% of sites we surveyed cited their viral marketing tactics as the number one reason for their audience growth.

2. MYTH: I can use a design template and still develop a compelling site that will inspire repeat visits. REALITY: Webmasters we polled said that users indicated unique design was just as important as unique content in deciding whether to bookmark a site.

The webmasters we polled had a cumulative Alexa ranking of 4,370 and on average, their sites only netted a little over $5,500 a month.
